Cowboy Field: that’s the translation of Sde Boker, the southern village where Israel’s first prime minister, David Ben-Gurion, chose to make his home and final resting place. Surrounded by a beautiful park, breathtaking views of the Zin Valley, a campus of Ben-Gurion University and hiking trails at Ein Ovdat and Ein Akev, Sde Boker is truly one of the jewels of the Negev Desert.
