Israeli tennis player Yshai Oliel and Czech partner Patrik Rikl recently won the 2016 French Open boys’ doubles title at Roland-Garros. For Oliel, 16, it was his first ever Grand Slam win.

Oliel and Rikl beat South Korean Chung Yun-seong and Brazilian Orlando Luz in two straight sets 6–3, 6–4.

In 2003, Israeli tennis player Dudi Sela won the same title at Roland-Garros.

Oliel became Israel’s first male Junior Orange Bowl champ at age 12. At the age of 14, he won the prestigious title for a second time.
