Saving lives in Jersey City, with quite a bit of thanks to Israel
If you have a heart attack in Manhattan, it takes about 7½ minutes for first responders to arrive on the scene. If it happens in Jersey City, you need only wait 2½ minutes. The Jersey system, says Steven Fulop, the city's mayor, is based on an EMS system United Hatzalah pioneered in Israel.
