Growing up to the sounds of church bells in his Jerusalem neighborhood, Zaki Djemal became committed to coexistence activism.

“As a kid, I would refuse to draw in coloring books because I hated the idea of having to draw inside the lines,” Zaki Djemal tells 21see in this video about his childhood in the 1980s. Today the Harvard-educated entrepreneur and social tech-fund manager heads an organization bringing thousands of Jews and Arabs together in Jerusalem through cultural activities such as backgammon.Click on the video to find out more.
